This young family had a totally unfinished basement that could only really be used for storage. Concrete, insulation and some basic framing adorned the walls. Their vision was for a space where they could hang out as a family and host company.

The ADraaistra Contracting team started from scratch and finished the basement from the ground up. The exterior was studded up and walls were added for a washroom and guest bedroom, along with an expansive rec room.
Loads of room for family and friends.
Today, a bright, off-white space welcomes everyone who walks down the stairs. Pot lights, dimmer switches and a dark vinyl flooring (with subfloor underneath to prevent extra moisture) complete the picture. Children can be found playing with toys while the adults take in the hockey game from the built-in bar.
